Irish Chain - finished from Fabric Engineer

Let's talk about this Irish Chain quilt.  I finished the top about five years ago and got it quilted about four years ago.  I used it for two years without the binding.  I finally got the binding put on last year and then finally, finally, got pictures of it this week.  It has been used well during that time though as it is my basement blanket and I spend a lot of time in the basement.

Doll quilt from Fabric Engineer

 I recently finished a doll quilt for my mother-in-law.  It wasn't too fancy, but I had the perfect binding color to bring it all together.  It was also a perfect project to make sure my sewing machine was working well, as I had just gotten it tuned up.

Baby Bear Claw from Fabric Engineer

I finished up a quilt for my mother-in-law!


I used a white double-loop in the white sections.  I did a matching color meandering star in the other parts.


I wasn't rushing through this quilt, but I was trying to get it done quickly.  So my go-to quilting motifs were fun and nice to use again.  There also weren't too many threads to hide at the end, which was another huge bonus!
